LIFE IS FUNNY HERE...

by isi-writerscamp @ 17. May. 2006. - 12:31:40

Suddenly, the whole world changed. There is a new inexplicable awareness that envelopes us all - we are translated and nobody knows why we are all excited - but we really are having fun. No more jobs - the ministry of works world wide explains that we all have to rest for a whole year. You are too excited you nerly died jumping with joy and almost broke your legs trying to free yourself from this great maze that life has constricted you into - you have worked too much in life you are shouting out to everybody. You cross the road and all the cars stop - who put the power in them to stop? Some scientist found a better way of regulating things to obey us at last. You go and get drunk, thinking that the same mechanism is there to stop the cars from killing you - you are wrong - you get hit and lost one leg. A kind nurse donates a leg - you are so happy that you fall in love with her - but she dies the following day. You are wondering if you are still alive but you have her leg - it could have been loaned to you. Funny feelings - she may haunt you tonight you wonder. You dream about her - she is smiling and running away - and you are tryiong to embrace her - but she is still smiling and runs away - and she says only few words - 'When you drink don't drive.' She apparently forgot that you were only crossing the road - you tell her she is making a mistake - you then suddenly realised that you were actually crossing the road and not driving - but you may have been driving and trying to cross the road. You are awake from the real dream - soon realised that you were having another dream - and you are stunned - you are tired of having dreams and forgetting to move on with your life - it's time to go to work -you are late already.
THE END.

WRITER'S BLOCK

by isi-writerscamp @ 17. May. 2006. - 10:56:24

It is certainly looking like a big weight on your shoulder - you are worn out and there is nobody to come to your rescue. You have waited now for nearly two weeks - no idea had visted your mind and you are getting very frustrated. You tell your writing partner and friend all that you have been going through at the hands of one inspiration - who has not visited you for a long time.
Your good friend is taking note of all that you are saying and wondering where and when to stop you in order to add his usual helpful comments. You continue your story; of all that has transpired between you and your thoughts - how you contemplated getting any story - just any story that captures your imagination - that makes you certain that that is exactly the idea that you are looking for. You said that you had actually contemplated drinking your urine - and making tea with the whole stuff - and actually thought about jumping into the Lions den in a zoo all to whip up inspiration. You sit there feeling so sorry for your self - wondering if every writer in the world is going through your unique kind of experience.
You begin to see the sense of taking note of everything that you see around you - not just anything that you see but everything that happens around you - you soon concluded that the experience was too boring. You keep the dairy all the same - and decide to write it all up. At a particular point , you gave up and walked straight into the market square - shouted at the top of your voice - hoping to get some attention - a story - an idea - and nobody looks at your direction. You even tried urinating in public - hoping that the police would be interested in you - so that you could make a great story out of it - but for some reason, they all looked the other way. You are really sad - absloutely gotted - you are completely angry. You ask your friend what you should do and you friend, your great friend and writing partner thanks you for giving him such a great inspiration; a great push to write about you - a story he will jolly well like to write about. You look at him and think that he has gone crazy.

Writing is fun

You may be struggling for days without inspiration and new ideas. But it is possible to write and let the world read that new idea you have had in you for years. Welcome to creative writing. You need an interesting setting and perhaps to sit with other writers who may be struggling - or some who may have no clue about what to write. There is hope for us all. We need time - yes, time, more than the ideas. A little idea is all that you need - but you need a whole lot of time. You need discipline. Attend one of our sessions at writerscamp and you will not be the same again. You could invite our team to your area - lets have fun - lets write.
